The Gate is the unofficial, given by people name of a cave with the steel gate in the Aedwinian catacombs. It's located in the underground of the town of Aedwin De Steinberg.
History[]
Barely anything is known about that cave. Information like the name of the founder and date of discovery were lost in time. Many legends and stories try to describe the history of the cave. However, no one knows what's the truth.
The cave can be entered only from the Aedwinian catacombs. Overgrown with mushrooms and moss cave goes down until it reaches the steel bars with the locked door that makes the further exploration impossible, and stone with old scribbles warning us from entering the cave. What is behind the steel bars is unknown, many legends and religions only speculate what is on the other side while the truth lies unseen.
Present Day[]
Lately, The Gate became a place of interest of many people like Niles and his group, Hildegard and even traveling bard named Osmund.

It's believed that the gate is guarded by the 'Guardians' who are mentioned in many religions under many names as people who protect this world from the things that should not be discovered.
